Have you ever missed out on taking that perfect shot just because your batteries died while on a multi-day adventure? I have and it is not fun. So last year before heading on my NL Traverse I decided to research travel-size solar panels. And after some time I found the perfect match. Not long afterwards my solar panels Anker PowerPort Solar showed up at my doorstep. I was excited and ready for some testing.
A few quick specs :
-Charging speed of up to 2.4 amps per port or cumulative of 3 amps when placed in direct sunlight
–21 Watt of power which is 21.5- 23.5 % efficient
–2 USB ports which can charge 2 devices at the same time (phones, tablets, cameras and more)
-Material:Â Industrial-strength PET polymer faced solar panels sewn into a rugged polyester canvas
–Weather-resistant outdoor durability
-11.1-6.3 inch & 1.1 inch thick when folded and 26.4-11.1 & 0.2 inch thick when opened
-There are some stainless-steel eye-holes which makes it easier to place towards the sunlight
-Weights only 17.4 oz
-Short circuit and surge protection technology for safe charging
*The Solar panel also comes with a 3 feet long micro-USB cable for easy charging.
This Anker Solar Panel is great for charging on the go or at the campsite. The eye-holes make it easy to clip onto your backpack with some carabiners as you are trekking. This prevents you from having to stop and wait for electronics to charge.
Alternatively I would slip the solar panel over my hiking poles and direct it towards the sun. Which makes it perfect when you are back at the campsite or stopped for a lunch break.
I use this solar panel in conjunction with an external battery pack FosPower PowerActive 10200 mAh. Although I did charge directly to my cellphone via the solar panel I usually prefer just charging up the battery pack and then charging all my electronics with it overnight or in the evenings. I’ve had my cellphone charge fully within 3 hours or so in direct sunlight.

I often visit your website and have noticed that you don’t update it often. More frequent updates will give your site higher authority & rank in google.
I know that writing content takes a lot of time, but you can always help

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve been quite busy working on some videos and fixing up a sailboat. So I’ll be diving back into the website now.
